Expiry date of energy drinks
Expiry date of energy drinks
The expiry date is an indication that the product is not guaranteed to taste its best after that date, and some ingredients will start to degrade.
There are no adverse effects from drinking an expired energy drink. If the drink is adequately sealed and stored in a cool dark place it can last a number of months past its expiry date.
If the energy drink does go bad it’s not harmful as most of the ingredients in it will begin to break down. The drink would lose its fizz resulting in a flatter taste. A main ingredient like taurine won't cause any side effects but would lose their potency.
